Psychosocial counselling and support are part of all modules.
BIFID Kaiserslautern is an employment market measure with modular concept.
A maximum of 12 people with multiple placement obstacles (long-term unemployment connected with loss of the habit of working and mental disorder symptoms) can participate in the basic module offering a high proportion of attendance and qualification.
Participants in the basic module can switch to the advanced module in order to test their ability to work under pressure.
As an independent module offering a low proportion of qualification and support, 10 participants can be accepted for 12 months working in employment opportunities (German Social Security Code II, § 16.3).
Due to the modular conception, rehabilitative, integrative as well as qualifying measures can be carried out individually putting the focus on the employment situation.
In the basic module, the core objective is to strengthen each participant’s internal, "inner" motivation and his self-esteem in order to initiate a change in behaviour towards "being able" and "wanting" to work. Central basis for this purpose is an individual personified support of each participant with BIFID Kaiserslautern acting according to the principle: "meet the participant at his level".
The objective of an approx. 4-week resource analysis is to evaluate the participant’s potential by skills profiling, to build motivation and confidence and to convey virtues important for work with a resulting fixed daily rhythm. In the subsequent orientation and vocational preparation period, the ability to work under pressure is increased carefully. It comprises incipient continuing support in the context of labour pedagogy, practical qualification, traineeship placement as well as theoretical and practical development of soft and interpersonal skills.
The advanced module focuses on stabilisation and integration associated with professional training. Here, we assume that the participants stay for a maximum of 26 weeks. During their employment opportunities in selected fields of work we provide psychosocial and practical support in order to place them in the regular employment market.
