Psychiatric day-care hospital

Wörth

The Wörth day-care hospital of the "Pfalzklinikum" has 20 spaces.

The psychiatric day-care hospital is a day-care facility for mentally ill people. Treatment takes place during the day only. The patients spend the evening, the night and the weekend at home in their familiar surroundings. Thus, they can keep in touch with their family, friends and acquaintances.

Who can get treated at the day-care hospital?

The treatment services offered at the day-care hospital are suitable for a wide range of mental diseases for which an outpatient treatment is not sufficient while an inpatient treatment is not – or no longer – necessary. Important for the treatment are regular living conditions and the possibility to independently cover the distance between hospital and residence. Furthermore, you should be willing to turn your attention to your own mental problems and to tackle them in a therapeutic process. For people with age-related mental diseases, for persons who are primarily addicts and for acutely suicidal persons we do not offer treatment at the day-care hospital. We are, however, glad to assist you in finding a space in a suitable facility.

Which treatment services does the day-care hospital offer?

The treatment at the day-care hospital is composed of several modules. It comprises different diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities. A treatment schedule is developed individually and adjusted to the patient’s requirements.
