The area "Care – Foster – Live" of the "Pfalzklinikum" has a total of 178 spaces at the locations Klingenmünster (96 spaces), Bad Bergzabern (20 spaces), Maikammer (30 spaces), Dahn (12 spaces) and Rodalben (20 spaces). The area helps people with emotional and mental disabilities to participate in social life. Increasingly, outpatient services are offered.
"…People whose mental disease impairs them more or less permanently are living at our homes. They need help in order to cope with their daily life. Many of them were not by any stretch of the imagination any longer in a position to do what they actually wanted to. For example, they had difficulty in organizing their day or they could no longer concentrate. Often, they were under psychiatric treatment for a long time, even in hospitals…"
