Help in case of alcohol and drug dependence
The department of dependence diseases of the "Pfalzklinikum" at the location Klingenmünster has two wards with a total of 41 beds.

In our society, it is considered to be more normal to drink alcoholic beverages and to take drugs every day than to abstain from them. In Germany, approx. 2.5 million people are addicted to alcohol, 1.5 million people are addicted to drugs and 6 million people are addicted to nicotine. There is a smooth transition from "normal" consumption to abuse and dependence on nicotine, alcohol and drugs. …"
This leaflet answers questions about treatment possibilities at our hospital.
Outpatient rehabilitation for addicts
Together with the "Diakonische Werk Pfalz", the outreach work of the Lutheran church of the Palatinate, and the specialist hospital in Eußerthal we started a service for outpatient rehabilitation in Landau, namely the Counselling Centre Addiction and Dependence, at the beginning of 2007.
